-Syndrome, when placed on the Disney Infinity Base

Buddy Pine, better known as Syndrome, is the main antagonist in Disney/Pixar's 2004 hit animated feature The Incredibles. He appears as an expandable and playable character in Disney Infinity. He can be played in The Incredibles Play Set and the Toy Box. His character comes with his Zero Point Energy Gauntlet automatically, while other characters have to unlock in the Play Set. Syndrome was released on August 18th at launch.

Syndrome serves as the main antagonist in The Incredibles Play Set in the first game, and later as an antagonist again in Toy Box Takeover in Disney Infinity 3.0.

Abilities

Disney Infinity

Syndrome uses punches as his combo. He uses the Zero Point Energy Gauntlet as his ranged attack, where he can "freeze" enemies in the air, and then run around with them, before throwing them.

Disney Infinity 2.0

Syndrome has the same powers as in the first game, however, his ranged attack has been slightly changed. Instead of being able to move his targets when they're "frozen", he can now only freeze them in place (which can be stacked depending on his skill tree build making his foes almost guaranteed to be hit every time). He now has the Villain, Tech, and Super Jump ability.

Appearances

The Incredibles

The Incredibles Play Set

He is the main antagonist in The Incredibles Play Set. He releases three supervillains to cause havoc in Metroville and he also sends out his Omnidroids around Metroville. He appears as the final boss of the Play Set. During the fight, you have to use the Zero point energy gauntlet against him to throw Omnidroids at him. Once he's defeated, he gets arrested.

Toy Box Takeover

Syndrome also servers as the main antagonist in Toy Box Takeover in Disney Infinity 3.0. Here, he steals the Magic Wand, and creates portals through the different worlds. The player must go through these portals to get the Magic Wand back and defeat Syndrome. The last level takes place in Syndrome's secret lair.

Trivia

  • His model number is 1000015.
  • Syndrome was the first of six characters to wear a cape, the second being Thor, third is Aladdin wearing his Prince Ali costume with Rags To Riches, fourth is Loki, fifth is Darth Vader with the sixth being Vision.
  • The subtitles in 3.0 strangely do not cover Syndrome's lines in his playable form, along with the Cars characters and a couple of other characters, except in his non-playable form in the Toy Box Takeover game. Also, a couple of his quotes are missing, including the ones that play when Syndrome is left standing still.

Quotes

"Oh, but you gotta see what I have in store for you today. It's gonna be awesome!"
-Syndrome
