This is a List of Content Scrapped from the games in the Disney Infinity series.

Characters

Characters that never appeared in the games despite being planned to appear at one point. This does not include playable characters.

Abominable Snowman

Yeti Concept

Concept art depicting the Abominable Snowman.

At one point, the Abominable Snowman from Monsters, Inc. was considered for inclusion in Disney Infinity and in the Monsters University Play Set, probably as a cast member. Although he appears in many pieces of concept art, he does not appear at all in the game, perhaps because he is such a minor character in the movies.

Badoon

Badoons

The concept art that depicts the Badoon.

A piece of concept art from Disney Infinity 2.0 has been released depicting Badoon, an alien race from Marvel Comics and the archenemies of the Guardians of the Galaxy. The artist said that the Badoon were very early enemies in the games, likely from Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy Play Set. They do not appear in the games. It has been confirmed that the Badoon were originally supposed to appear in Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy, but Marvel currently does not own the rights to the Badoon. The film and play set were made simultaneously, so the Badoon were probably scrapped from the game around the same time they were cut from the movie.

CDA Agents

Charlie Proctor

Monsters Concept 2

Concept art depicting Charlie, who is seen at bottom right.

In a piece of early concept art of non-playable characters for the Monsters University Play Set, Charlie Proctor, George Sanderson's scare assistant and a minor character from Monsters, Inc., can be seen. What his role in the play set would have been, along with why he was scrapped, remains unknown.

Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz

Doofenshmirtz Model

Doof's in-game model.

Although he was not seen in early gameplay footage or demos, Dr. Doofenshmirtz from Phineas and Ferb has been found in the coding of Disney Infinity. He does not appear in the final game except as a costume. It is currently unknown what exactly he was supposed to do, although it is possible he was a scrapped playable character or cast member. There is also a fan theory that there was originally supposed to be a Phineas and Ferb play set and that Doof, who would probably have been the boss of such a play set, was simply scrapped along with it, although no official evidence has been found to substantiate this theory. Exactly why he was scrapped remains unknown.

Fungus

Monsters Concept 2

The concept art that depicts Fungus, seen at top left.

In a piece of early concept art of non-playable characters for the Monsters University Play Set, Fungus, Randall Boggs' scare assistant from Monsters, Inc., can be seen. What his role in the play set would have been, along with why he was scrapped, remains unknown.

Grem

CARS Matthew Armstrong

Concept art of Grem launching missiles.

In several early pieces of concept art for Disney Infinity, Grem from Cars 2 appears. He seems to have been a scrapped enemy. It is unknown exactly why he was scrapped, but it seems that when the Cars Play Set changed from a more spy-themed adventure to a racing game, Grem was replaced by Chick Hicks, who better fit the new theme of the play set. Pictured along with Grem in some of the art were several other lemons from the movie, indicating that they were supposed to be the main enemies.

Jack-Jack

Disney Infinity Characters

The concept art that depicts Jack-Jack.

In a piece of early concept art, Violet can be seen with her brother Jack-Jack, who is levitating above her. He does not appear in-game, but he is mentioned by Mrs. Incredible, wondering how he is doing having been left with Kari while the Incredibles protected the city. What his role in the game was to be, as well as why he was scrapped, remains unknown.

Jiminy Cricket

Mini Omnidroid

Omnidroid Concept 3

The concept art of the mini omnidroids.

Pieces of early concept art of Omnidroids depicted some omnidroids that were smaller than the rest. It showed that the Ranged Omnidroids were supposed to deploy them by spitting them out of the top of their heads. Why the idea was scrapped remains unknown. The idea of a larger enemy spawning a small enemy was later used in Disney Infinity 2.0, where the large Symbiotes can produce the Symbiote Spawn.

The Muppets

Jimvalerisketchkermit

Concept art of Kermit the Frog.

Some early pieces of concept art for Disney Infinity depict the Muppets, namely Kermit the Frog, Fozzie Bear, Miss Piggy, The Great Gonzo, Animal, and Beaker. While most of those characters have been represented in the games in the form of costumes, the concept art seems to depict them as playable characters. For unknown reasons, they have not yet been included in that form in the games.

Oscar Diggs and Theodora

Disney infinity oz 02

The store display with Oscar and Theodora on it.

Prior to the release of Disney Infinity, photographs were taken of a store mock-up display that seemed to include concept art of Oscar Diggs and Theodora from Oz the Great and Powerful.[1] The validity of the concept art has been questioned, however, as the image of Oscar and Theodora has not been seen anywhere else, and appears to have been added onto a known piece of concept art for the game which did not include them.

Prince John

Concept art depicting Prince John.

Prince John from Robin Hood appears in very early concept art for Disney Infinity: 1.0 Edition, but is not present in any of the games.

Princess Aurora

More Forums

Concept art depicting Aurora.

Princess Aurora from Sleeping Beauty appears in early concept art for Disney Infinity: 1.0 Edition alongside other playable characters from the first game, as well as Captain America and Simba.

Aurora herself does not make an appearance in the final game, but a costume version of her is available beginning in Disney Infinity: 1.0 Edition.

Pua

Sarge

CARS Matthew Armstrong

The concept art that depicts Sarge, who is on the top left.

At one point in development, Sarge from the Cars franchise was supposed to appear in Disney Infinity and in the Cars Play Set, probably as a cast member. Although he appears in concept art, he does not appear in the game. A possible reason for this was Finn McMissile's demotion from playable character to cast member, which required that an existing cast member be scrapped to make room. The fact that Finn is parked at Sarge's Surplus Hut in the game seems to support this.

Siddley

SamNielson Infinity CarsShot

The concept art that depicts Siddley, who is at the top right.

Featured in a piece of early concept art for the Cars Play Set in Disney Infinity was Siddley, a spy plane from Cars 2 who works with Finn McMissile. He does not appear in the game, and what his exact function in the game was to be remains unknown.

Simba

Simba

The alleged concept art depicting Simba.

Simba appeared on two pieces of alleged concept art of Disney Infinity along with other playable characters in the games, Captain America and Princess Aurora. This supposed concept art he appeared on is questionable in authenticity, so he may or may not have been considered as a playable character in the game. John Vignocchi later hinted at the reason why Simba wasn't in Disney Infinity was because of Character Mechanics and it'd be too hard to control a 4 legged animal.[2]

Smitty

Monsters Concept 2

The concept art that depicts Smitty, seen at top left.

In a piece of early concept art of non-playable characters for the Monsters University Play Set, Smitty, a can wrangler and minor character from Monsters, Inc., can be seen. What his role in the play set would have been, along with why he was scrapped, remains unknown.

Sparky

Disney infinity characters

Concept art depicting Sparky.

In a piece of early concept art for Disney Infinity, Sparky from Frankenweenie appeared. It is currently unknown exactly how he was to be included in the game. Because he only appears in one piece of known concept art, he was probably scrapped early on in the game's development. Exactly why he was scrapped remains unknown, although a possible reason is the fact that has four legs, and quadrupedal characters are something that the game's developers have been somewhat reluctant to make in the past.

The Underminer

Disney infinity characters

Concept art depicting The Underminer.

Multiple pieces of concept art of Disney Infinity feature The Underminer from The Incredibles, indicating that he may have been the original boss of The Incredibles Play Set before it was Syndrome, but he was scrapped from the final game, and makes no appearances therein. A possible reason for his removal is that he only appeared at the end of the movie, making him a somewhat obscure character compared to Syndrome, who would be more of a draw for those considering buying the game.

Yeti

The unused yeti enemy

The Yeti's in-game model.

The Yeti from the Matterhorn Bobsleds and Expedition Everest attractions at the Disney Parks was found in the code of Disney Infinity: 1.0 Edition. In the final game, it only appears as a costume.

Figures

Arlo

Concept art of Arlo's figure

Arlo from The Good Dinosaur was originally planned to be a playable character in Disney Infinity: 3.0 Edition. However, he was cut due to a higher-up at Disney having low expectations for the movie, leaving Spot as the sole playable character from the film.[3] In the final game, Arlo appears as a Mount.

Baze Malbus

Beast

Belle

Captain Rex

Darkwing Duck

At E3 2014, a developer on the games stated that Darkwing Duck, the protagonist of the show of the same name, was very close to being included in Disney Infinity: 2.0 Edition, but was scrapped.[4] In the final game, a costume version of Darkwing appears.

John Vignocchi stated that Darkwing was also a potential playable character for Disney Infinity: 3.0 Edition, but was not included after losing to Olaf in a fan poll.[5]

Doctor Strange

Ferb Fletcher

FerbIN

Ferb in early gameplay footage of Disney Infinity.

In early demos and gameplay footage of Disney Infinity, much footage was seen of Ferb Fletcher from Phineas and Ferb acting as a playable character. Although it was widely believed before the release of Series 2 of the game that Ferb would be released as a playable character, he was not. His only appearance in the games is as a costume townsperson unlocked from the character chest of his brother Phineas. Ferb's character model was later found in the game's coding. A later hack into the game revealed that Ferb could be summoned as a playable character in the Toy Box, but he cannot perform any actions when spawned, indicating that he may not have been finished. A possible reason for his being scrapped is that he does not speak very much on the show, or perhaps enthusiasm for his character was not perceived as being very great. There is also a fan theory that there was originally supposed to be a Phineas and Ferb play set, although no official evidence has been found to substantiate this theory.

Goofy

Hera Syndulla

Jafar

Jake Sully and Neytiri

Avatar concept

Concept art exists for figures of Jake Sully and Neytiri, the protagonists of Avatar.[6][7] However, no content from Avatar appears in any of the games.

Jyn Erso

Maui

Moana

Peter Pan

Spider-Gwen

Ursula

Victor Frankenstein

Disney infinity characters

Concept art depicting Victor.

In a piece of early concept art for Disney Infinity, Victor Frankenstein from Frankenweenie appeared. It is currently unknown exactly how he was to be included in the game, although he was probably supposed to be a playable character. Because he only appears in one piece of known concept art, he was probably scrapped early on in the game's development. Exactly why he was scrapped remains unknown.

Zurg

Play Sets

Frankenweenie

At some point in development for Disney Infinity 1.0, there were plans to make a Frankenweenie Play Set. The play set was to be entirely in black and white, and Victor Frankenstein would've been a playable character.[8] Based on his presence in early concept art, Sparky would also have played a role.

Moana

Power Discs

Baymax costume change

Stitch costume change

John Vignocchi has confirmed via Twitter that Stitch was at one point supposed to have a costume change power disc that would give him his Elvis Presley outfit from the movie; however, when the game's creators realized that they would have to pay money to Elvis' estate in order to include the disc, they backed off of it.[9]

Invisibility Wand

Invisibility wand

The Invisibility Wand on an early screenshot of a game menu.

In early demos and screenshots of the game, there was seen on a Packs and Tools Menu a tool called the Invisibility Wand. This tool does not appear in the game, however. Presumably, its function was to cause players to become invisible. The likely reason for its scrapping is that the Invisibility Device performs the same function, causing it to appear that the wand was replaced by it.

Ion Blaster

Ionblaster

An image of the site that revealed the Ion Blaster.

Before the release of Disney Infinity, on a website that appeared to show the portfolio of an art director of the game, some images were discovered of various items that ended up in the game, along with Emperor Zurg's Ion Blaster from the Toy Story franchise, apparently being displayed as a tool. The blaster itself is not unlockable in the final game, but is still used by Zurg himself in the Toy Story in Space Play Set. It has apparently also been found in the code of the game.

Rescue Helicopter

Rescue Helicopter

An image from an early demo video of the Rescue Helicopter.

In early demos of Disney Infinity, there appeared a red and white helicopter vehicle, known simply as the Helicopter, or sometimes as the Rescue Helicopter. The reason for its removal from the game is unknown, though some believe that it is merely an early version of the Incredicopter rather than a separate vehicle.

Toy Box Castle Builder

ToyBoxCastleBuilderScrapped

The unused Toy Box Castle Builder in the Toy Box Editor.

In early beta tests of Disney Infinity 2.0, an extra Toy Box Builder called the Toy Box Castle Builder was spotted on the Toy Box toy selection menu.[10] It used an updated model of the Grand Duke Costume that was never used in-game. Most likely he was to build using pieces from the Cinderella's Castle Building Set.

Unknown red helicopter

Multipleespot

Jack Sparrow driving the helicopter.

In early promotional images and videos for Disney Infinity, there was seen a red helicopter, very similar in design to Calico's Helicopter. This helicopter does not appear in the game, so it is currently unknown what it does, what franchise it is from, or even what it is called.

Unknown yellow car

Disney Infinity Toy Box screenshot 2

Violet driving the car.

In early promotional images and videos for Disney Infinity, there was seen a yellow car, which is somewhat similar to Tony Stark's Sports Car, but has a different body design. It does not appear in the games, so it is currently unknown what it does, what franchise it is from, or even what it is called. Some theories include it being an early version of the Autopia Car, or just a generic yellow car. Curiously, the car reappears in promotional art for Disney Infinity 2.0.

Miscellaneous

12-Inch Figure Series

Monsters University Sundial

Sundial Day

Sulley next to the sundial.

In early beta demos of Disney Infinity, the developers showed off a sundial located at Monsters University which could be activated by the player to turn the environment from day to night. Although the developers did seem to emphasize this feature somewhat when discussing the game early on, they eventually decided to scrap the idea of players changing the time of day and added an automatic day/night cycle to the play set instead.

Omnidroid Spawner

Omnidroid Concept 6

The concept art that depicts the Omnidroid Spawner.

In a piece of early Disney Infinity concept art, released prior to the game's release, there was included a depiction of a rocket that would fall from the sky and spawn Omnidroids. While the spawner itself was not included in the game, it is very similar to the Sakaaran Pods from Disney Infinity 2.0, and may have inspired them.
