The Incredibles

Edna is revealed to be a long time family friend of the Incredibles/The Parr family as she is seen attending Mr. Incredible and Elastigirl's wedding.

Years later after superheroes are forced into hiding, Mr. Incredible (aka Bob Parr) attempts to relive his glory days by accepting mysterious assingments, one of them including fighting an Omnidroid which creaters a tear in his old suit. He visits Edna (who has been annoyed with desiging for "super" models in Milan) who agrees to make him a new suit as well as fixing the old one. She insists on excluding capes due to numerous superheroes meeting an unfortunate end because of them and assures Bob that his new suit will be ready before his next assignment.

While on his own on Nomanisan Island (Syndrome's base) his wife, Helen "Elastigirl" Parr grows suspicious after she notices that Bob's suit has been stitched up in a familiar fashion. Recognizing it to be Edna Mode's handywork, she calls up her old friend. Edna then invites Helen over to her villa and shows her the new matching supersuits that she designed and created for the entire family. Helen, surprised at this discovery, soon presumes that Bob is having an affair. Edna then shows her that the suits have a homing tracking device that can show where the wearer is from anywhere on the planet. Helen uses it to track down Bob, unknowingly sending him into a trap. Edna encourages Helen to pursue her husband and win back his affections, then to call her afterwards as she enjoys chatting up with her.

  • In the film, Edna was voiced by the director, Brad Bird and is set to reprise his role in the 2018 sequel.
  • In Disney INFINITY: 2.0 Edition there is a Costume version of her.
