The Disney Infinity Gold Collection is a re-release of the Disney Infinity games, namely Disney Infinity, Disney Infinity: 2.0 Edition, and Disney Infinity: 3.0 Edition, that is available exclusively on PC.[1][2] Each of the games comes in a pure digital format, and every Playable Character (with the exception of most of the DLC characters of 3.0), Play Set, and toy is automatically available from the start of the game with no external monetary purchases required. Each of the games individually costs $29.99 U.S.D., but the package of the three games together costs $59.99 U.S.D., 33% less than the price of buying each one separately. If you owned the games in the past, however, you can get the Gold Edition of whichever game(s) you owned for free.[3] This rerelease was made available on December 9, 2016.[4]

While the original games required players to buy additional Figures and Play Sets, the Gold versions of the games come equipped with all characters from their version of the game, as well as all characters from the previous version of the game. (For example, the second game comes equipped with all characters from both the first and second games.) However, none of the games retain any of their patched DLC from their lifetimes. This means that the Identity Disc in the first game, the Green Goblin Glider and TRON content in the second game, and the entire second half of content from the third game are not available. In addition, all bugs that were patched out during the games' lifetimes are now back in the games.[5][3]
Until December 22, 2016, you could transfer your save file of Disney Infinity 2.0 or Disney Infinity 3.0 from your console to the Gold version by clicking "Save Migration" on the main menu of the game (after passing the opening tutorials) and then logging in with the proper credentials. If you wanted to migrate your save data again, you could do so by clicking "Redo Save Migration" and repeating the process.[2][6]

- Since the PC version of 3.0 was never updated beyond March 1st, 2016, all of the following content is missing from the Gold Edition:
- All Marvel Battlegrounds-related content (with the exception of Hulkbuster and Ultron)
- All Finding Dory-related content
- All Alice in Wonderland (Tim Burton)-related content
- Baloo
- The new "Collection" tab is available in the pause menu and main menu. It acts as a digital version of the Disney Infinity Base and allows the player to select which figures/power discs they want to use.
- Local/splitscreen co-op is absent.[7][8][3]
- All community content and online functionality is removed. This includes online multiplayer and Toy Box uploading/sharing to the cloud.[2][3]
- Because of this, certain feats that required online functionality/multiplayer have also been removed. This makes any toys or concept art locked behind them unobtainable without hacking.
- Flynn's Arcade also never becomes unlocked in the Toy Box Hub.
- The main menu is reorganized to accommodate for the digital base and lack of online features. The "Community Content" tab is removed, and the "Collection" tab is added, every Play Set is now selectable under the new "Play" tab, the "Toy Box" tab has been renamed to "Build", and the "Concept Gallery" and "Disney Infinity Collection" tabs have been combined into the "Progression" tab.
- Parades and Surprise Gifts do not appear in the Toy Box Hub as intended, making all Toy Box Hub exclusive sidekicks unobtainable without hacking.
- All Oceaneer Band toys are unobtainable without hacking.
- Since many of the later characters from 3.0 are missing, the Keyblade pack is unobtainable without hacking.
