Belle is the protagonist of Disney's Beauty and the Beast and she was going to appear as a playable character in one of the Disney Infinity games (either 3.0 or 4.0), alongside her love interest Beast; but was scrapped due to the games' cancellation so her design was to be based on her appearance in the 2017 live-action version of the story, which is what the figure was intended to help promote. The plans to include her were revealed when an anonymous source close to the Disney Infinity project shared concept art of her and Beast with the YouTube channel Infiniteer Adventures.[1]
